Biografi :

Christopher Maurice Brown terlahir di Tappahannock, Virginia pada tanggal 5 Mei 1989. Sejak kecil Chris sudah mulai menampakkan bakat menari namun baru saat ia berusia 11 tahun ia menyadari bahwa ia juga memiliki bakat menyanyi.

Saat Chris berusia 13 tahun, secara tak sengaja satu tim talent scout melihat bakat terpendam Chris ini dan mengajaknya untuk pindah ke New York.

Tahun 2004, Chris mulai mengikat kontrak dengan Jive Records dan merekam album pertamanya CHRIS BROWN yang diluncurkan tahun 2005. Album pertama ini mampu terjual hingga 155.000 copy hanya dalam waktu satu minggu saja.

Kesuksesan ini segera diikuti dengan album kedua Chris yang berjudul EXCLUSIVE. Album yang dilepas tahun 2006 ini dalam minggu pertama diluncurkan sudah terjual hingga 300.000 copy.

Banyak sudah penghargaan yang diterima Chris lewat musiknya. Sebut saja Teen Choice Awards, Billboard Awards, dan BET Awards.

Dalam kehidupan pribadinya, Brown menjalin kasih dengan penyanyi R&B, Rihanna. Namun pada 8 Februari 2009, Brown ditangkap oleh pihak berwajib akibat ditengarai melakukan tindak kekerasan terhadap Rihanna.

Kekerasan yang diduga dilakukan Brown dipicu oleh pertengkarannya dengan Rihanna. Akibat pertengkaran ini, Rihanna harus dilarikan ke rumah sakit akibat luka-luka yang dideritanya.

Akibat kejadian ini, Brown harus merasakan pengapnya jeruji besi, meski ia akhirnya dibebaskan dengan jaminan. Namun, keluarga Rihanna tetap melaporkan kasus ini, sehingga akhirnya kasus ini masih diselidiki pihak berwajib.

Setelah mengungkapkan penyesalan akibat musibah yang terjadi, Brown dan Rihanna dikabarkan kembali menjalin kasih. Kabar ini muncul, akibat kebersamaan mereka di Miami, Florida.
